Chief Recruiting Officer

The firm seeks a Chief Recruiting Officer (CRO) to facilitate and lead the growth and expansion of the office by leading talent acquisition organization-wide in identifying and attracting inexperienced and experienced advisors to the firm personally and through a team of recruiters.

The Chief Recruiting Officer position has been strategically created to bring professional-level recruiting and executive search experience to support the firm’s growth objectives over the next five years. The CRO will catalyze the growth of high-caliber experienced financial advisors, inexperienced new agents, and sales leaders by developing a performance-driven recruiting culture and strategy. This professional recruiter and talent acquisition expert will lead a team of recruiters, supporting their growth and development to attain their individual and office-level recruiting goals.

The Chief Recruiting Officer will own, lead, and drive talent sourcing and attraction strategies and activities to source and select the best potential candidates with an eye for diverse opportunities. The CRO will oversee and improve the firm’s recruitment experience and training and development of the firm’s recruiters and leaders. The incumbent builds high-level quality relationships in the community and the office to promote career opportunities. This role will be an instrumental member of the executive team and report to the Managing Partner.

Insurance and financial services firm based in Stamford, CT affiliated with one of the largest and most well-respected mutual insurance companies in the insurance industry. The firm is a network office that covers a territory spanning parts of Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.

Position Summary



Responsibilities
  • Create, implement, and execute talent recruitment strategies and activities to identify, attract, qualify, and select up to 45 full-time financial advisors through individual and team efforts
  • Develop and execute the network office recruiting plan to reach production goals
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of recruiters to increase recruiting productivity
  • Partner with the office’s advisors, managers, and leadership team to create and influence a culture of continuous recruitment and retention
  • Develop centers of influence in the community and build a referral source network within the territory
  • Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to increase visibility and awareness of career opportunities through the network office
  • Coordinate talent acquisition focused advertising and marketing strategies via traditional and digital channels

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Five or more years of work experience in recruiting; experience in insurance and/or financial services is preferred
  • Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence others
  • Proven ability to lead, manage and develop others
